Gain an understanding of Microsoft Office applications, and core knowledge for Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Billing & Insurance,  ICD-10 , CPT, and HCPCS codes. Additionally, you'll learn about the growing importance of security and privacy of medical records -HIPAA (Healthcare Insurance, Portability & Accountability Act). Upon the successful completion of all classes, you can apply to  serve in an Internship that provides invaluable practical experience under the supervision of our Doctors and Staff and a cooperating physician's office, clinic, or other healthcare facility. With this certificate program, you'll prepare for the AAPC, American Academy of Professional Coders, CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification. You'll also establish the foundation to pursue an advanced degree in Health Information Management.
